Some Bullet Notes on Bulletproof Coffee

Ever wanted to upgrade your coffee to make it help your metabolism. This may just be the ticket for you. If you haven’t tried it before, try a Bulletproof Coffee: which is considered to be a regular black coffee mixed with grass-fed butter and  medium-chain triglyceride oil. this phenomenon has caught on as a sure fire way to keep cravings at bay while keeping that metabolism burning. The original recipe was created by Dave Asprey back in 2009 and has been a hit ever since.

So this week our very own Simone decided to take one for the team and test out Bulletproof Coffee.

For those of you who don’t know, it’s a recipe developed from yak butter tea drinkers in Tibet. The person who brought it back, Dave Asprey refined his version as it helps with cognitive performance and limiting cravings as well as stabilizing blood sugars amongst other things while you’re working on losing weight.

Our improvised version of the following recipe?

Ingredients for Bulletproof Coffee

  1. At least 1-2tbs unsalted grass-fed butter.
  2. 1-2tbs of Brain Octane™ or XCT oil™ (these are 18x and 6x stronger than coconut oil, with no flavor.

Use what you have. If you can’t find Brain Octane™ or XCT oil, then use the next best thing: coconut oil still works, it does taste like coconut.

Q & A with Simone on this experience so far:

What are your thoughts on it so far?

Ya, it’s been terrific. I feel energized focused and productive. Given that I love my coffee, and increase productivity, so far a win win.

How do you feel about being a guinea pig with this?

Oh I love it. It’s been around since 2009 and has recommendations from all over. Having the right amounts of healthy fats is important.

We’ll check in to see where she’s at on her love hate review on this boost to her coffee routine.

Stay tuned.
